Project story
HomeWindKenya began with a simple observation: many Kenyan homes and small businesses sit in areas with usable wind resources, yet have limited access to affordable, reliable electricity.
The project researches small-scale wind systems sized for households — turbines, siting guidance, and the supporting economics — and presents them through a public platform designed for Kenyan conditions.
As a published nashIntelli venture, HomeWindKenya continues to evolve: new guides, better system sizing information, and partnerships with installers and energy practitioners.
